This is very clean and perhaps unread copy of the classic reference book

Maria, the Potter of San Ildefonso

by Alice Marriott, University of Oklahoma Press, Norman, OK, 1948 (Eleventh Printing 1967), HB, DJ.  Book is 6

    x 9 3/8

with 294 pages of text and drawings of Maria, Pueblo life, and several of her classic pieces of pottery, both polychrome and polished blackware. The top edge is dyed a medium reddish color. Condition is complete and excellent with just a little light wear to the dust jacket from age. This was written at about the height of her becoming famous for her pottery, but with so many more pieces of pottery to be made by herself with the help of several sifferent family members. This was just found in New England.
