    Cherokee Messenger.  By Althea Bass.  Hardcover, dust jacket in mylar, ex-lib., pub. 1936 this is second printing from 1968, 348 pages.  Good condition, library markings on title page, tape on endpapers, catalog label on spine.  Biography of Samuel Worcester who served as missionary, teacher, printer and publisher for the Cherokee of Tennessee and Georgia.  Later moved to Indian Territory where he also published in the Cherokee, Choctaw and Creek languages.  Shipping weight over 1 pound.
